Tucked in with a gift card for my Godson. Teenage boy said it was good!This is a very sweet chocolate ball that melts into warm milk. I expected there to be cocoa powder inside to add to the flavor of the cocoa but there is not. This reminds me of melting a chocolate bar into hot milk and expecting it to be hot cocoa. It was not what we expected compared to other similar products we have tried. Fun to make but missing terms of richness aside from sweetness.Went with classic chocolate. Heated up the milk and dropped one in as directed. The bomb melted pretty quickly and released the marshmallows. I'd say it took maybe a full minute to be entirely melted and incorporated into the milk.Note that, unlike some hot chocolate bombs, these do NOT have powdered hot chocolate mix inside the ball with the marshmallows. All the chocolate and the sweetness come from the ball itself.I love dark chocolate and didn't mind that this isn't super-sweet - but I also think it would benefit from a touch more sugar. (The sips with a marshmallow were the best because of that extra pop of sweet.) The chocolate itself has a good flavor, though. Guess I'm just more into hot cocoa than hot chocolate. Thought it was just okay.Tomorrow I'll put it in coffee and see how it goes. (I usually drink it black, but a little mocha action might be nice.) I suspect I'm going to enjoy it a lot more in coffee. Regardless, there are only four bombs to a box so if you don't have a discount that makes this a pretty pricey item for something that's just okay.I like the idea of these bombs it's a fun way to enjoy a hot drink. My kids had a blast dropping these into the warm milk. Unfortunately, the flavor is mediocre and my children did not drink it. I tried and thought the flavor was all right but it did not dissolve well had kind of a chunky texture and left a waxy coating on the inside of my mouth.I used this in a cup of coffee and in a cup of milk to see the differences but both times the outcomes were the same, this stuff is insanely sweet to me. It doesn't really have that much of a chocolate chocolate taste because the sweetness is so overpowering. The mint and white chocolate syrups I normally use are the same ones from starbucks and while they do also sweeten my coffee you get a strong flavor profile in the drink. With these it's a punch of sweetness and an after taste of peppermint and somewhere on the whispers on the mug is a hint of white chocolate if you can register it at all. Also the chocolate that the chocolate bomb is made up of doesn't blend well and ends up in the bottom of the mug no matter how much you stir.A'cappella | The Original Coffee and Hot Chocolate Bev Bombs | Pumpkin Spice | Pack of 1I'm not a rabid pumpkin pie spice fan, but I do like spiced chocolate, so I was pretty excited to try these. First go was in my coffee, where spiced chocolate seemed like a good fit, but I found it entirely undrinkable. Even after adding some drinking chocolate (American Heritage, also a spiced chocolate product), I ended up pouring it out and would have written them off entirely, but my daughter wanted to try them in hot milk. She pronounced it delicious, and she was right. This flavor combination really needs a milk base, so skip the coffee and stick with hot milk. It's very yummy in hot milk, and it's fun to watch the marshmallows pop to the top of the drink. A smaller coffee cup was my preference (less milk-to-bomb ratio), but she liked it in a mug.Since these are made for a fun hot chocolate experience, I want to mention that the chocolate take a little time before it melts and opens up to expose the surprise marshmallows, so these aren't as "exciting" as others can be with a quicker melt/opening time. Still a fun and tasty experience, but the excitement dwindles as the seconds keep passing by, waiting for that chocolate to melt.
