If you haven't read read A Taste of Chocolate for the Soul, you're missing out - big time. The stories are real and will touch the heart of everyone who reads it. Carol simply shares what she and God have talked about and then vividly portrays that conversation so that the reader can picture herself right there, next to Carol. I love how she uses chocolate - my most favorite food on earth - to show us how much God is like that wonderful concoction. I have read thousands of Bible verses during devotions, but the way Carol describes how good God is by comparing Him with something pleasant we encounter frequently touches me in a special way.The stories of how the book came to be tell accurately how each of us ladies did our part for the ministry and how each, in turn, was blessed. Carol's love for her Lord, her family and her community shine through in each story. Her dedication to spending time alone with God is an example for all of us to follow. Carol's stories of helping family members cope with terminal illness struck home for me. Her story of Marky's Rose brought tears to my eyes and hope in my heart that I too will see my loved ones again. I am thrilled to be a part of this book and even more thrilled to have Carol as my sweet friend and sister in Christ. I bought a copy for my mom and my daughters so that they, too, may share in our love for chocolate and the Lord. Get the book, get a tissue and get ready for God to reveal Himself to you. It's a sweet read!!
