I like the product very much but it was delivered by UPS and the box wAS CRUSHED and the ice pack was completely melted. Fortunately the chocolates weren't melted.Very decent truffles. They have a soft, melt-in-your-mouth center, and a smooth dark-chocolate flavor. They're moderately sweet (no overcompensating on the sugar like some brands) and not overly bitter (no "must love dark" like finer chocolates). The combo of dark and "melts" makes them a really good accompaniment for black coffee. Yum.At the pricing for this bulk pack, they're something that's a cheap pleasure to keep on my shelf, and a danger to my waist line.Chocolate of this sort is rather temperature sensitive, and that includes during shipment-- a day or three in the summer heat will turn your perfect truffles into melted-and-reformed blobs of hardened chocolate. I've had that be the end result for Lindor truffles of various sorts (bought both from Amazon and local B&M), and it's hard to predict. But my recent box was perfect.Good chocolate has a definite shelf life, also, mind that expiration date.I'm a bit of a chocolate snob but ALSO like easy-eating, moderate-priced chocolate. This Lindt lands right in the sweet spot (pun intended). Recommended.I bought this as a gift for my grandson, who loves dark chocolate. I had it on the ottoman and the dog went on one of his excited running and jumping on furniture and turning circles episodes. Well, he jumped on the box at least three times. The box tore open and candies went flying. Many were squished. How sad. I had to eat them all by myself! Will try ordering again, but closer to my grandson's visit in the hope there won't be another "accident."Lindt is a trusted manufacturer, with good products. But in the shipping process this package was somewhere allowed to become heated enough that all the candy in the box has melted. I bought this to be a gift for a nurses' station and it is a mucky mess. I will melt the remainder down again to use over ice cream but now I will have to find another gift for those hard working nurses. This did not sit out in the sun in a mailbox; it was delivered to my post office box and I picked it up literally minutes later, at 9:25 AM, in local temperatures of 52 degrees. NO excuse. Very unhappy. When the candy arrived soft and melted and there was a white residue on each piece, I threw the whole box away. I have previously ordered truffles and enjoyed them but I could not feel comfortable eating any of these candies. These were nice and fresh and reasonably-priced. The insides are soft and creamy while the dark chocolate on the outside is firm. (A tip: Winter is the time to order in the Southland, as I once sent for some in the summer and they melted down.) What's not to love? If you can possibly limit yourself to one or two at a time, this box should last into next month.Unless you feel like eating all these truffles pretty quickly, you might wish to try for a less massive box. This is not to say they go bad in any way. It is simply that joy of a truffle comes from its soft center and when you bit into one that has no center at all it is disappointing like a hollow bunny on Easter morn when you were expecting a solid one, still tasty but somewhat disappointing nonetheless. Maybe had I stored them in the dark, or eaten them all at once...I love Lindt chocolates, but the centers all melted out & they were messy. I figured they would be sent with an ice pack. Very disappointed with the shipping. I won't be able to use them at my party.
